We invite you to journey through this beautiful parcel of New England straddled across the Rhode Island and Massachusetts border, alive with picturesque landscapes, distinguished small businesses, and plenty of historic charm.

What is Farmcoast?

Farmcoast got its name after a small group of local businesses thought it necessary to welcome visitors who share their same love for food, farms, art, and sustainable culture. The founders are proud to preserve this land and its lasting legacy for generations to come.

Farmcoast is an organization of local business owner/operators from Tiverton Four Corners through Little Compton, Westport, Russells Mills into Padanaram. Our sole interest is to promote local businesses to the local and tourist communities through a variety of means, attracking those that can appreciate the simple charm of the Farmcoast and its abundance of preserved open space for all to enjoy.

Who we are.

We invite you to enjoy this beauty with us. All of those who have preserved these natural resources in our villages that we so enjoy today have left a priceless legacy for our children.

The coastal towns of Tiverton, Little Compton, Westport, and Dartmouth make up the Farmcoast and are characterized by their distinctive rural qualities and unique dedication to living off the land. Superb natural resources found within the borders of Farmcoast sustain a thriving culinary, recreational, and artistic culture. Between rolling hills, a glimmering shoreline, farming landscape, and stonewall-lined streets you will find an active community of residents, artists, and merchants committed to the preservation of this distinctive Farmcoast heritage.

What to do here?

The quaint villages of Tiverton Four Corners, The Commons, Adamsville, Central Village, Russells Mills, and Padanaram are nestled within the four FarmCoast towns, and despite their peaceful façade, each is bustling with activities year-round. Spend the day browsing contemporary boutiques or established art galleries, tasting local wine at one of our popular vineyards, kayaking on the Westport River, biking the back roads, or enjoying fresh food from land and sea at one of many waterfront restaurants or local farms.

Summer offers some of the most exciting opportunities to enjoy the FarmCoast villages with frequent art festivals, outdoor concerts, farm-stays, open markets, artists’ tours and demonstrations, not to mention boating, swimming, biking, and spending time on the shore of one of several local beaches.
